After 'Accessible India', Government of India has launched a new initiative — 'Inclusive India' — to include differently-abled persons in mainstream education, employment and community opportunities. The initiative is an attempt to facilitate the realisation of equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities into the fabric of society. The three core focus areas of Inclusive India would be Inclusive Education, Inclusive Employment and Inclusive Community Life.

A growing number of young entrepreneurs are setting up businesses to cater to the needs of the specially-abled. These entrepreneurs say that though most people view disabled-friendly services as a charitable business, these companies can be run on sound economic principles. The lack of competition in the market also makes the sector attractive.
